Iridium Data for SCADA and Telemetry Applications
Get your data fix when cellular coverage just doesn't cut
it.
Short Burst Data and Circuit Switched Data for SCADA
and telemetry applications.
Many industries rely on SCADA and telemetry applications
for data acquisition, operation, process control and monitoring. Often they
need to extend these applications into regions that are beyond the reach of
reliable terrestrial or cellular communications. Roadpost offers a wide range
of rugged satellite transceivers, and modems along with flexible cost-effective
service plans for situations like this.
We also offer technical expertise for integration support
and will work with you to devise a solution suited to your specific
requirement. We’ve teamed up with
Novotech, a global leader partnered with the world’s most innovative
M2M manufacturers with a portfolio that spans cellular, GPS and satellite. This
partnership enables Novotech to address virtually any business requirement and
simplify the deployment of M2M solutions financially, technically and
logistically. Read more about the partnership or
call us to discuss your specific requirements.
Explore the following options
to determine your data needs.
Short Burst Data (SBD) is the most
efficient method of transferring small packets of data to and from remote areas
around the world. Iridium SBD is a simple, two-way transport mechanism
perfectly suited for remote telemetry, monitoring, asset tracking or metering
because it is designed to send short data bursts of less than 2 kilobytes at a
time.

Circuit
Switched Data (CSD) allows you to extend dial-up data applications to
any location on earth where terrestrial dial-up connectivity is unreliable. CSD
is ideally suited for transferring large files, bi-directional machine to
machine (M2M) communications or situations where email, FTP, SSH or HTTP post
is required. CSD provides dial-up connectivity at rates of 2.4 Kbps through an
Iridium modem to the Internet, another computer, or to a corporate network.
