GEOS Global Alert Monitoring

With an internationally proven track record of providing emergency monitoring and response coordination services virtually anywhere*, GEOS has coordinated thousands of rescues in over 120 countries.

GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC)

The GEOS IERCC is located in a secure data centre that remains fully self-sufficient even if the outside world "goes away". It is staffed 24x7x365 days per year with Watch Standers, SAR Mission Coordinators, and Duty Officers. You can rest assured that there’s an experienced and expert team watching over your staff’s emergency alerts and helping to coordinate emergency response and the associated resources.

How does the GEOS service work for lone worker monitoring?

When the IERCC receive an SOS message from your employee, they will notify the emergency contacts that your administrator has designated, and contact the appropriate emergency responders based on the employee’s specific location*. They also leverage the capabilities of two-way devices to maintain an open line of communication to exchange updates on the situation as required.

Emergency assistance with interactive SOS

  • All SOS messages automatically provide GPS location data, displaying coordinates of where a device is when an emergency is declared
  • SOS alerts are supplemented by text messages, allowing employees to describe their emergency and providing rescuers with the information they need to come prepared to the scene
  • GEOS will first contact the device user that declared the emergency to confirm the situation and provide status updates as needed
  • SOS alerts can easily be cancelled if warranted or inadvertently triggered

Additional GEOS offerings (not included)

In addition to its monitoring services, GEOS offers Search and Rescue and Medical Evaluation services at an extra cost. These services are not included in your GEOS monitoring, please contact GEOS directly to register for these additional services.

*GEOS provides global service, but there are a few countries where service is not available. GEOS service is not available in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Israel (West Bank, Gaza and the Occupied Territories only) and Somalia. Customers should always make alternate search and rescue arrangements when going to one of these countries.
