The permanent RST820 SatRADIO extends the reach of a standard 2-way radio since it’s integrated with an Iridium transceiver. This fixed solution creates a satellite to 2-way radio interface that connects through the Iridium network.
It’s an ideal fit for environments that demand intrinsically safe equipment like buildings, tunnels and mines. When deployed into fixed site locations it can become essential for disaster recovery back up. Even in a vehicle, the RST820 SatRADIO can be used as a back up to the standard 2-way radio network or as a mobile command center with VH radio.
